China’s Chic trade show, organized by the China National Garment Association, has made the decision to postpone its next edition.
The primary concern is ensuring the safety of all exhibitors and visitors amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Chen Dapeng, president of the China National Garment Association and Chic, stated in a press release that they are prioritizing flexibility and considering the wishes of all participants to ensure a successful participation in the fair.
The planning for Chic’s Autumn edition is currently underway, with anticipation for the introduction of innovative concepts in Shanghai.
In related news, Intertextile, China’s leading yarn and fabric sourcing show, has also adjusted its schedule due to the government’s zero-COVID policies.
The show, in partnership with Messe Frankfurt, had initially planned for a spring session but later decided to hold the event on August 29-31 in Shanghai.
The pandemic has already impacted previous editions of Chic and Intertextile, which were originally scheduled to take place in Shenzhen..
