81-year-old Martha Stewart has made history as the oldest cover star of Sports Illustrated.
Alongside Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader, Stewart has been featured as one of the four cover girls of SI Swim.
This year’s issue also includes other notable names like Padma Lakshmi, Lauren Chan, Yumi Nu, and Georgina Burke.
Reflecting on this achievement, Stewart expressed, ‘When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated.
And I don’t think about age very much, but I thought that this is kind of historic.’ She emphasizes that age should not be the determining factor in terms of friendship or success, but rather, it is important to consider what people do, how they think, and how they act.
For the photo shoot, Stewart posed in a variety of one-piece suits from notable brands like Norma Kamali, Zimmerman, and Yves Saint Laurent, among others.
She even recreated her famous pool pout, a beloved thirst-trap pose of hers.
In an interview with InStyle, Stewart discussed her internet sex symbol status, which she has gained by posting sexy selfies on Instagram.
She believes that her actions serve as a good example for others, as she aims to teach that one can look great and there’s no reason to slump around..
