**Google News Initiative introduces new tools to improve access to quality journalism**
The Google News Initiative (GNI) today announced new tools and initiatives to help people find and access quality journalism.
These include:
* **A new Google News app** that makes it easier to find and read news from different sources, even if you don’t know what you’re looking for.
* **A new Google News website** that provides a more comprehensive view of the news, including top stories, trending topics, and personalized recommendations.
* **New partnerships with news organizations** to provide more access to quality journalism, including a new program to support local news organizations.
* **New educational resources** to help teach people how to find and understand quality journalism.
The GNI was launched in 2018 to help support the future of journalism. Since then, the GNI has invested more than $300 million in projects to support journalism, including training for journalists, new tools for newsrooms, and support for local news organizations.
