Australia’s Frankie4 opens U.S. headquarters, debuts Seattle store
Australian fashion podiatric footwear company Frankie4 opened its official U.S. headquarters this month, coinciding with the launch of its first retail location in the region, opting for Seattle’s Capitol Hill.
Located at 501 E Pine Street, the first Frankie4 U.S. store opened its doors to locals on Saturday, offering the full Frankie4 collection of luxe comfort leather footwear—sneakers, dress flats, sandals, heels and boots for women.
In-store, customers will also be able to have a personalized experience via private, expert fittings with the retailer’s staff.
The U.S. expansion signifies the firm’s commitment to growth on a global scale, the company said in a press release, choosing Capitol Hill for its marriage of culture and style, as well as the area’s growing number of innovative brands.
“We are so excited to bring an already-thriving Australian brand to the U.S. market and could think of no better place than Seattle. The city is known for its product innovators and disruptors, which is exactly what Frankie4 is all about,” said Cathy Barnett, CEO of global, Frankie4.
“A predominantly women-led brand, we have taken women’s footwear and redesigned shoes specifically for our unique feet—delivering fashion and comfort without sacrificing one over the other. We’re looking forward to our continuous growth here in the U.S. market.”
The debut store opening and headquarter launch comes on the back of the brand’s e-commerce debut in the U.S. in 2021, joining the company’s local website and its online shop in New Zealand.
Founded in 2010 by Caroline McCulloch, a physiotherapist and podiatrist, the Australian footwear brand has gained a cult following through word of mouth, social media, pop-up events, and brick and mortar stores, with two stores in Sydney, two in Brisbane and a fifth in Melbourne.
