For its next collaboration collection, H&M tapped the designer label adored by the likes of Megan Fox, Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Cardi B, and Dua Lipa. Known and adored for its major designer collabs, the retailer has previously launched collections with Erdem (2017) Balmain (2015), Simone Rocha (2021), Moschino (2018), Giambattista Valli (2020), Jimmy Choo (2009), Versace (2011), Stella McCartney (2005), Isabel Marant (2013), Marni (2012), and Maison Martin Margiela (2013).
H&M revealed the news in a much-anticipated announcement on Wednesday, February 22. The collection is set to launch this spring.
“H&M is proud to share that its next designer collaboration will be with the house of Mugler,” read the statement. “The Mugler H&M collection, crafted under the direction of Mugler creative director Casey Cadwallader, will encapsulate the unique and vibrant spirit of Mugler. The collection will be available online and in selected stores in spring 2023.”
“H&M’s history of designer collaborations is legendary and pioneering,” the statement continued. “For nearly two decades, H&M has been democratizing high fashion by offering global audiences the chance to own special pieces of high-end designer history.”
While specific details of the collection’s pieces remain under wraps for now, you can be sure to expect seriously sexy silhouettes, sheer fabrics, lots of corsetry, and sensual design flourishes.
