We all know and love Kendall Jenner’s minimalist-chic wardrobe. Whether she’s dressed to the nines in a white Khaite slip dress at the CFDA Fashion Awards, or wearing The Row head to toe on a casual day, the model’s style tends to err on the understated side. However, KJ has recently started to favor vintage fashions, as well.
This week, the 27-year-old was spotted in not one but two looks that embrace nostalgic style. While on a casual daytime outing in New York City, Jenner wore a beige cropped shearling jacket and blue denim jeans with brown suede panelling on the front, both of which were from Acne Studios. She threw on some tan square-toe boots and tortoiseshell micro-shades to further nail a soft ’70s aviator-meets-flower-girl vibe—with just a dash of early Ali MacGraw.
The following evening at a dinner with friends in Manhattan, Kendall Jenner opted for an elegant spin on throwback fashion. The highlight of the retro-inspired look in question? Her head-turning leather patchwork trench coat, which could easily be plucked from a ’70s street style photo book. A pair of umber leather boots with pointed toes and silver hoop earrings completed the ensemble.
