Happy Monday to Martha Stewart, and Martha Stewart only.
The 81-year-old craft maven/ex-con was just revealed as one of four cover girls of Sports Illustrated, alongside Megan Fox, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader. Stewart makes history as the oldest cover star of SI Swim. Also included in this year’s issue are Padma Lakshmi, Lauren Chan, Yumi Nu, and Georgina Burke, to name a few.
“When I heard that I was going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I think ever on a cover of Sports Illustrated,” Stewart told the magazine. “And I don’t think about age very much, but I thought that this is kind of historic.” (See all the photos here.)
“Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success, but what people do, how people think, how people act, that’s what’s important and not your age,” she added.
Stewart was photographed by Ruven Afanador in the Dominican Republic in a variety of one-piece suits from Norma Kamali, Zimmerman, Yves Saint Laurent, and more. Stewart even recreated her famous pool pout, one of her most beloved thirst-trap poses, for the photo shoot.

In an interview with InStyle earlier this month, Martha Stewart reflected on her status as an internet sex symbol, a reputation she’s largely earned by posting sexy selfies to Instagram.
“It’s a good example for others, actually,” Stewart said. “I’m a teacher. I’m trying to teach others that you can look great. There’s no reason to slump around.”
