George and Amal Clooney arrived hand in hand ahead of the 80th Venice International Film Festival. The famed actor and the human rights lawyer—who have been married for almost nine years now—didn’t look the least bit rumpled from travel, perhaps because they share a home on Lake Como only a couple hundred miles away.
Amal opted for a sleeveless white minidress with navy floral embroidery and slingback heels. George color-coordinated with his wife by wearing a navy polo with blue seersucker pants and beige loafers. Both sported sunglasses as they walked to catch their ride.
Obviously, the Clooneys aren’t the only stars flocking to Venice for the city’s annual film festival, which begins on Wednesday. Some of Hollywood’s finest, including Adam Driver, Jacob Elordi, and Jessica Chastain are expected to make an appearance, but the event will likely be much smaller and quieter than in years past amid the ongoing actors’ strike. At the moment it’s unclear whether George and Amal Clooney intend to stop by the festival while they’re in town. We do, however, know that Amal is slated to accept a leadership award at Diane von Furstenberg’s 14th Annual DVF Awards later this week.
