Jennifer Lawrence just wore an outfit that’s taking me back to my Hollister days. And also present-day Bushwick, the edgy Brooklyn neighborhood. They’re the same thing, really.
While out and about in New York City on Saturday, July 1, the Oscar-winning actor wore the ultimate casual summer outfit: olive green oversized cargo pants (very Kim Possible of her), a black tank, and a dark blue button-down shirt, worn open.
The true hallmark of a Bushwick girlie? The cherry red bra straps visible underneath the black tank, creating a layered effect. Not even attempting to match the bra to the tank is a very Cool Girl move, if you ask me.
Lawrence accessorized with a beige Polo Ralph Lauren baseball cap, a paragon of prep that, when paired with her more undone look, adds a subtle touch of irony. She finished off the look with a black face mask (another week, another air quality alert in NYC!), a black belt with gold hardware, and black Adidas Sambas, a.k.a. the It sneaker of the summer.
Jennifer Lawrence never went away, really, but she’s been out and about more this summer due to the release of her raunchy comedy No Hard Feelings, which is in theaters now.
Amid her first major press tour in years, Lawrence has worn some major looks, some more casual ones, and she’s even contributed to the Scandoval conversation. Really, what more could you want from a celebrity?
