We adore Bella Hadid’s eclectic fashion sense. She was named Lyst’s 2022 Power Dresser of the Year—the e-commerce company said her outfits prompted a staggering “1,900% increase in searches for similar pieces”—and she was named model of the year at the Fashion Awards. It should come as no surprise then that Emily Ratajkowski, like so many others, is drawing inspiration from Bella’s wardrobe.
Ratajkowski, who was photographed in New York City this week, sported a navel-baring ensemble that mirrored one Hadid wore last March. The outfit comprised a gray cropped blazer and micro-miniskirt by Coperni (look six from the brand’s autumn-winter 2022 collection), black over-the-knee socks, and red and white New Balance trainers. She accessorized with black cat-eye shades, a black leather shoulder bag, and gold hoop earrings.
Last year Bella’s outfit formula was not so different from Emily’s, as it also involved micro shades, high socks, and sneakers—although Bella opted for bright red Adidas Sambas. Perhaps Emily Ratajkowski’s sexy preppy look was an homage to Bella’s distinctive fashion sense.
