Zendaya is two for two when it comes to Emmys, picking up her second lead actress award at last night’s 74th annual show (and making history in the process).
Also two for two? Her looks from the evening. The Euphoria star hit the red carpet first in a bold black Valentino ball gown, which she styled with a black ribbon headband and a voluminous hairstyle. Because this is Zendaya, the fashion didn’t stop there. The 26-year-old walked the red carpet again at HBO’s Emmys after-party in a second gown, also by Valentino.
The dress featured a plunging neckline that swooped into off-the-shoulder long sleeves and finished with a dramatic train. Zendaya styled the custom-made look with bold rings and glittering studs, and slicked her hair back into a low bun. The best accessory of all, of course, was her Emmy, which she carried in hand.
At the party, the actor posed with Euphoria creator Sam Levinson. The event was also attended by Zendaya’s costar Sydney Sweeney, who was up for an Emmy as well for her role in HBO’s hit drama.
“Thank you to the incredible, incredible cast and crew of Euphoria for making such a safe space to make this very difficult show,” Zendaya said during her acceptance speech. “I love you all so much. Thank you to the Academy. Thank you to my friends and family, some of which are here tonight. Thank you to Sam [Levinson] for sharing Rue with me. Thank you for believing in me even in moments where I didn’t believe in myself and then, lastly, I just want to say you know, my greatest wish for Euphoria was that it could help heal people. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has shared their story with me. I want you to know that anyone who has loved a Rue or feels like they are a Rue, I want you to know I’m so grateful for your stories and I carry them with me, and I carry them with her.”
