Puma’s Black History Month campaign supports emerging designers
Global sportswear brand Puma
The focus of the campaign will centre on its classic streetwear model Puma Suede, the brand is inviting up-and-coming designers to create outfits to pair with the footwear.
The winner will be given the opportunity for a one-to-one mentoring session with costume designer and creative director for women’s basketball, June Ambrose.
They will also receive design equipment and a £2,000 cash fund to support the design journey.
Entrants will be briefed to submit three to five full looks (each look consisting of three garments) as well as a 250-word written submission on what has inspired their designs.
Three designers will be shortlisted from the submissions by a panel of experts and awarded £1,000 each to bring their creations to life.
From the shortlist, one overall winner will then be selected and will receive an additional £1,000, a piece of design equipment plus the Ambrose mentoring.
