Kate Middleton is the queen of high-low dressing. On Sunday the Princess of Wales cheered on England in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup wearing a white double-breasted tweed blazer that looked like Chanel. But as it turns out, the textured jacket was an actually an old purchase from Zara—a look she originally debuted for a school visit in February.
How exactly did Middleton manage to make an affordable Zara dupe look like the real thing? In a stroke of styling genius, she paired the faux Chanel blazer with a real Chanel flap bag featuring a gold chain strap. To finish the look, the mother of three added a pair of wide-leg black trousers and her Cartier watch, along with pink lipstick and a sleek blowout.
This is far from the first Zara blazer we’ve seen Middleton wear. She owns a bunch of blazers from various designers, but the ones she seems to wear again and again are usually from Zara. For the Princess of Wales, every day is a chance to show off your Zara Blazer of the Day (ZBOTD).
It makes sense for Kate Middleton to match her jacket to the color of the players’ jerseys. Serving as patron of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League is one of her many royal duties. And her game-day support clearly had the intended effect, because England ended up winning the match.
