Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones’s daughter has a career to launch, and Cannes was the platform. The 76th annual Cannes Film Festival is underway over in France, and Carys Zeta Douglas, the 20-year-old daughter of actors Michael, 78, and CZJ, 53, joined her parents on the red carpet at the film festival for the premiere of Jeanne du Barry in a stunning white gown. Michael Douglas also received the Honorary Palme d’Or for lifetime achievement, and his documentary, Michael Douglas, The Prodigal Son, is screening at the festival.
Carys’s white Elie Saab gown is made out of a sheer lace fabric, with some netting detail at the skirt. She wore her hair in a high and tight braided bun, and finished the look with silver statement earrings, a bracelet, and rings. For makeup, she went for a soft, spring-y look with pink cheeks, a pink lip, and warm eye shadow.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, a red-carpet pro, also wore an Elie Saab gown with a deep V, but she matched the carpet in a red gown with a cape attached to one sleeve. Douglas, meanwhile, looked dapper in a tux.
According to her Instagram, Carys Zeta Douglas is an aspiring musician who goes by the stage name CZD. On Wednesday she posted pictures of her Cannes debut on her grid, writing, “Thank you Cannes for the most wonderful evening! It was an honor to celebrate my father as he received his lifetime achievement Palm D’Or. Bon festival!”

While this is the first time CZD has appeared on the Cannes red carpet, she has appeared at events at her parents’ side over the years. In 2019 she attended the Fendi couture fall-winter show in Rome with her mom.
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones also have a 22-year-old son, Dylan.
