Anne Hathaway paid homage to Claudia Schiffer at George and Amal Clooney’s second annual Albie Awards in New York City. The made quite the entrance in a mint green and silver checkerboard column dress made of chain mail mesh—the exact look Schiffer wore to close Versace’s spring 2024 show less than a week ago. The appearance marked the German supermodel’s return to the catwalk after a four-year hiatus.
“It’s basically molded onto my body,” Schiffer told Vogue of the crystal-beaded garment. “It fits me like a glove.”
The dress is decked out with Versace signatures—the Medusa ’95 hardware on the straps, for instance, and the pale green lace arranged in the label’s iconic baroque pattern—so it’s easy to see why Hathaway’s stylist Erin Walsh would have gravitated to it. Hathaway also stepped out in the same silver Gianni ribbon pumps Schiffer sported at Milan Fashion Week.
Hathaway was iced out in Bulgari jewelry for the occasion, including rings, earrings, a necklace, and a heavy stack of serpentine cuff bracelets wrapped around her wrists. A silver shoulder bag finished the look, along with an elegant bouffant to round out her hair.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering, Anne Hathaway isn’t necessarily a “silver girl.” She looks amazing in gold too.
