“We have strong brand awareness in our home market so expanding our retail presence in other Texas cities makes a lot of sense,” said Ryan Kent, president of Mizzen+Main. “With a large percentage of our customers based in Texas, we want to do everything we can to make it easy for them to find men’s clothing that they love.”

The Texas-based brand launched in 2012 with the world’s first performance fabric dress shirt. It has since expanded into pants, outerwear and golf apparel. Today, it is known for its unique approach to photography, consistently utilizing brutalism as a backdrop against which they display fun, comfortable, and easy-going characters.

These new stores, designed in partnership with the Bergmeyer architecture firm, promote discovery and encourage customer engagement.

Eric Kihn, design practice leader for Bergmeyer, highlighted the key features of the store design: “The store is about promoting discovery and encouraging engagement. We’ve achieved that through a sequence of touchpoints that connects, inspires and encourages interaction.”

“We want to help our customers feel unaffected by what is stereotypically imposing and oppressive architecture,” added Richard Ross, creative director for Mizzen+Main. “This new store design provides a unique in-person experience that allows you to cross the threshold and become fully immersed in that feeling.”

In Texas, Mizzen+Main also operates stores in Dallas, Austin, and Fort WorthL Catterton
