Adidas has announced plans to sell its stock of Yeezy brand shoes that have been sitting in storage since the termination of its partnership with rapper and fashion designer Kanye West, also known as Ye.
The proceeds from the sales will be donated to international organizations that have been harmed by West’s controversial comments.
The details of when and how the sales will proceed are still being worked on.
Adidas CEO, Gulden, emphasized that burning the goods would not be a solution.
The decision to donate the proceeds aims to support organizations affected by West’s remarks.
In November, Adidas donated more than $1 million to the Anti-Defamation League, an international Jewish non-governmental organization based in New York, and they are ready and prepared to work with Adidas once again.
Stay tuned for further updates on the sale of Yeezy stock and the impact it will have on supporting affected organizations..
