The Na’vi of Pandora wear mostly loincloths and beads, but for the premiere of Avatar: The Way of Water the dress code required a little more glam. Heidi Klum took the opportunity to wear a gauzy sculptural gown that looks like it’s made of silk and mist, and it’s somewhere between and Frozen. In a good way!
Channeling pure ice-queen energy, the walked the red (well, blue) carpet at the movie’s US premiere in Hollywood on Monday, December 12, wearing Lever Couture, from Ukrainian designer Lessja Verlingieri. Hers is from the brand’s spring-summer Leleka collection, which debuted during Rakuten Fashion Week in Tokyo.
In addition to the shimmering material that creates a sort of waterfall silhouette (The Way of Water, get it?), Klum wore her hair slicked back and completed the look with dark eye makeup, clear plastic sandals, nude nails, and snowflake-y earrings.
Klum attended the premiere with her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, who matched her in a silver metallic suit.
I’m not even gonna say it, because at this point I’m over saying it, but you know it and I know it and you know I know it. We’re both thinking it. Okay, fine, I’ll say it: sheer-dress trend.
Apparently the pair had a good time, because afterward, Klum posted her succinct review on Instagram: “WOW AVATAR 💙💚.” Spoiler-free, thank you queen! She also uploaded a selfie of her and Kaulitz in their 3D classes holding a novelty popcorn bucket.

Since director James Cameron has three more movies planned in the franchise (they’re shooting number three now and prepping the fourth…), surely he can find a small role for Heidi Klum to play. The woman lives to transform. She put in so much effort to turn into a worm for just Halloween night; can you imagine how she’d throw herself into those face dots they use for motion capture?
This is the face of a woman who will do anything for the bit. Just a suggestion.
