Step aside, Rita Ora. Florence Pugh is now the president of the sheer kingdom. The Oscar-nominated actor has as of late made sheer her thing. Earlier this month Pugh wore a completely sheer and sparkly Valentino maxi skirt over a thong at Paris Fashion Week. Now she’s taken the trend across the Atlantic, gracing the streets of New York City with her sheerness.
On Tuesday, March 21, Pugh was spotted in NYC wearing a star-spangled sheer white dress over black briefs, which she styled with a heavy leather jacket and chunky black platform boots. To keep things on the punk side, she added gold studs, black sunglasses, and a black handbag, and wore her hair in a slick side part.
The next morning, for an appearance on to promote her new film A Good Person, Florence Pugh wore a different look with the same jacket and the same silhouette. She swapped the sheer dress for a maxi with an orangey-red, black, gray, and white tie-dye pattern. She accessorized with sunglasses, a black bag, and gray suede combat boots.
A Good Person, which costars Morgan Freeman and Molly Shannon, was written and directed by Pugh’s ex Zach Braff. It will hit select theaters on Friday, March 24. The film follows Pugh’s character Allison, whose life falls apart after she is involved in a fatal accident.
“I’ve already had the pleasure of working with some of the greats in this industry, but adding Molly and Morgan to that was absolutely incredible,” Pugh told GMA. I’m sure they’d say the same.
