Kendall Jenner’s style has always taken cues from both menswear and the ’90s, making everything from grandpa vests to spiky buns feel fresh and approachable. Her latest look, which riffs off both influences, might be her best one yet.
Snapped on the streets of Paris, Jenner was sporting an outfit straight out of a 1992 family sitcom. She wore a baggy aviator jacket and tailored, dark blue jeans, honoring the decade’s relaxed ethos and love of leather and denim.
Pointy boots, retro shades, a souvenir hat (which, amazingly, hasn’t sold out yet), and a suede bag—all in shades of vintage tan and chestnut brown—completed the look. Her freshly dyed auburn hair only made the earthy color palette pop more.
The supermodel’s look was a dead ringer for a ’90s sitcom dad outfit—think Bob Saget in Full House or Tim Allen in Home Improvement. The one exception is that unlike the baggy denim TV dads may have worn 30 years ago, Jenner’s jeans are straight-leg, high-waist, and cropped right at the ankle. Her chocolate brown boots also feel more sophisticated than ugly dad sneakers, putting a sleek spin on the nostalgic reference.
Her best piece, though—that showstopper of a leather jacket—is exactly the vibe we’re hoping to channel this spring: laidback yet luxe. Although Kendall Jenner’s coat is probably vintage, you can still take inspiration from the model by shopping similar pieces below.
