If looks could kill, the cast of Yellowjackets should be arrested immediately. Gracing the red carpet in a range of jewel-toned and pastel hues, up-and-coming actresses Ella Purnell, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, and Liv Hewson cemented their place alongside established stars Christina Ricci and Melanie Lynskey at the 2022 Emmy Awards.
Ella Purnell portrays Jackie in the Emmy-nominated Showtime series, which has already been renewed for a second season. It’s unclear yet whether Purnell’s character will be returning alive (or dead), but her glimmering powder blue halter dress paired with ’90s-inspired hair and makeup certainly feel like a spoiler alert. Evidently, she’s here to stay.
Nominated in the outstanding supporting actress in a drama series category for her portrayal of Misty, Christina Ricci opted for Fendi Couture styled by Alexandra Mandelkorn.
Sophie Thatcher, who plays teenage Natalie, wore a see-through silver gown from Christian Dior.
Melanie Lynskey, who’s nominated in the outstanding lead actress in a drama series category for her performance as Shauna, sparkled in sea-foam green chiffon by Christian Siriano.
Liv Hewson, who plays Van, opted for a gilded suit with feathered sleeves.
And Samantha Hanratty, who plays young Misty, looked stunning in a belted green frock.
