11teamsports has bought the Munich-based basketball retailer Kickz. With the acquisition, the group aims to expand its team sports expertise in basketball and strengthen its performance category.

The multi-brand retailer Kickz was founded in Munich in 1993 and is focused on basketball and sneaker culture. The company operates a total of 5 stores in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. In March, Kickz opened a 600-square-metre space, its largest store to date on Berlin’s Ku’damm. 

In addition to brick-and-mortar and online retail, Kickz is known for putting basketball in the spotlight through initiatives and partnerships and for providing basketball players of all ages and genders with a platform.
