As much as I’d like to think that I’m a mysterious, unpredictable cool girl that authors write adventure novels about, I’m self-aware enough to know that, on paper, I’m basic as hell. My favorite part of my day is getting my silly little Starbucks drink, I’m still using the Lululemon Align leggings that I purchased four years ago, and I still watch The Vampire even though the series finale aired in 2017. What can I say? 1) Basic things are deemed good for a reason, and 2) I’m a creature of habit that’s not in the business of fixing what’s not broken.
So when I find an item that I fall head over heels for, it becomes a daily essential that I simply won’t drop until I’m absolutely sick of it (bonus points if it’s budget-friendly). So when I was ranting (again) about the SeaVees slippers that I wear every day without fail, I had to ask the audience (my coworkers) to spill the tea on their go-to, emotional-support essentials that won’t break the bank. The results are in—these are the under-$100 items that our editors use every day, without fail:
Recycled Fleece Slipper
If there’s one thing I won’t tolerate, it’s cold feet on a hardwood floor. And as someone who has chronically cold feet AND hardwood floors, it’s an issue that’s become quite personal. Last year, I got these vegan SeaChange Slides from SeaVees and when I tell you that my life has been forever changed, I’m not exaggerating. Besides the fact that the recycled fleece keeps my feet warm and cozy, I love that they have a rubber sole that makes them extra functional, especially when I’m walking about the cabin during the workday or running downstairs to pick up a package from my mailroom.
Plus, with each pair sold from their SeaChange collection, SeaVees donates $1 to help regenerate carbon-sequestering coastal kelp forest through their partnership with SeaTrees—a win-win situation if we’ve ever heard of one.

Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds
To keep up with my frequent workouts and hot girl walks, wireless earbuds are a must, but I wasn’t about to drop $100 or more on some AirPods. Fun fact: I have very small ears, and Apple earbuds just do not fit—my AirPods would be falling out all the time! For a cheaper solution, I went with these JLab earbuds instead, and I truly cannot believe they only cost $20 for how nice they are. Thanks to the charging case, they stay charged forever, and the compact design is super easy to take on the go. Plus, they come in cool colors (I have the teal) instead of just your basic white.

Pour Over Coffee Maker
I will be the first to admit I am a coffee snob, and I’m okay with that. A good cup of coffee is a must for me. I have tried out many different brew methods and always come back to my trusty Chemex. I love that it is so easy to use and delivers the perfect cup of coffee without any sediments or bitter elements. Plus, it looks so cute in my kitchen and gives off a vintage vibe–my grandma used this exact brewing method 80 years ago! There’s nothing not to love about it.

Intense Replenishing Serum
One thing about me? I’ll never forget about my skincare routine. I love how my skin instantly looks plump and glowy after applying this on my face, and it’s even great for the back of my hands! This has become a staple for my morning routine and has made a significant difference in the health of my skin. Not to mention, this serum is packed with antioxidants, like Lipochroman®, Vitamin E, and linoleic acid, which aid in protecting your skin against pollution and free radicals.

Tongue Scraper
This is may be the only product I make sure to use every day, rain or shine, hell or high water, and it’s only $13. Tongue scraping is an Ayurvedic practice that has been around for hundreds of years, and there’s now modern science to back it up. Let me explain: Bad bacteria and toxins form on your tongue while you’re sleeping, and if you do not remove them before drinking or eating the next day, you re-ingest the toxins and bacteria when you swallow. If you still need proof, get a tongue scraper and see what comes off your tongue first thing in the morning—you will never be able to go without it again.

Portable Bluetooth Speaker
My mom got me this mini speaker for Christmas, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. It is the absolute perfect size—I can throw it in my beach bag or take it with me when I travel. And for such a small speaker, the sound quality is amazing. It’s also waterproof, which makes it even better for the beach and pool!

Acupressure Mat Set
If you’ve seen this acupressure mat set on The Everygirl before, guilty. I am obsessed with it and will take every chance to share it with all of you! This acupressure mat and pillow are an essential part of my daily routine because it relieves stress, helps with back/neck/shoulder pain, and makes it so much easier to fall asleep.

Crossbody Bag
Between walking my dog, heading to the grocery store, and running to the gym, I was in desperate need of a belt bag I could keep near my door and throw on every time I was casually leaving the house (without needing to worry about lugging a purse around). I’m absolutely obsessed with this one, and have gotten more compliments on it than I’ve ever gotten on anything. It’s casual because of its material but super fun because of the color-blocking, and I end up putting it on multiple times a day every day. It’s a must-have in my book.

Insulated Water Bottle
When I decided to finally get serious about staying hydrated, I turned to Amazon for one of those giant water bottles with timestamps to keep you on track throughout the day. It was a great purchase, and it helped me turn drinking water into a habit I stick to every single day. But when that plastic water bottle finally kicked the bucket, I decided I could finally take off the training wheels (those aforementioned timestamps) and invest in a water bottle that was as beautiful as it was essential. That’s where this one from Popflex Active comes in. It’s stainless steel, which means it can keep my water cool all day long (that plastic bottle definitely didn’t do that), has a beautiful pattern, and still holds my daily 64 oz of water that I’ve come to drink like a pro.

Unseen Sunscreen
Yes, I am that annoying girl who actually remembers to wear SPF every single day and tells everyone they need to do the same. The day I turned the corner of 26, I had a small panic and realized I better start taking care of my now *older* skin. Dramatic, I know. But I’ve been wearing this one ever since. There are a million sunscreen options on the market, and I keep coming back to this one because it is affordable, lasts forever, and is truly weightless. My boyfriend even requested one of his own for work since he’s outside all day—don’t tell him I told you that.
